Maternity Mothers

Pregnancy is a wondrous time! It's so full of amazing moments, amazing physical changes and amazing opportunities to bond both with your unborn baby and partner. Before the famous Demi Moore pregnancy portrait taken by Annie Leibovitz for the cover of Vanity Fair Magazine in August 1991, mother's never sought to take professional portraits of themselves during this wondrous time. Looking back to my time "with child" (actually...um...children) the best I got was a quick snapshot taken with a film camera for my first pregnancy and by the last time my last pregnancy came around, a snapshot taken with a digital camera. However, I do cherish my pregnancy snapshots even so, but I can't help but think how nice it would have been to get all dressed up with make-up and hair and have a photo session to commemorate this special time.
